2012 NCCEP/GEARUP CONFERENCE
The 2012 NCCEP/GEARUP Conference was held July 22-25 in Washington DC. This year’s theme was ‘The E4 (R)evolution: Education, Empowerment, Equity, and Economics. GEARUP Parent Involvement Specialist, Wanda C. Jones, worked closely with research associates from the University of Cincinnati to do a presentation on Parent Involvement, based on data that was collected earlier in the school year. The presentation was very well received and participants from around the country agreed that our challenge this school year is to increase parent involvement on multiple levels.(home, school and community).
